Parichamuttu Kali is a amrtial dance form of kerala practised by Saint Thomas Christians ( also konwn as Syrian Christians or Nasrani) who trace their origins to the evenglistic activity of Thomas the Apostle among Jews and natives in the first century. it is perofromed by bearing swords and shields and follows the movement and steps of Kalaripayattu.

The origin of the art can be traced back to the ancient days when Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art of Kerala was in vogue.

The dance is usually dressed in a white loin cloth with red wrist hands and sing in chorus as they dance The performers dance with sword and shield in their hands.The group is usually headed by a leader called Asan around whom the rest of the dancers perform. The dance used to be performed as a religious offering but is nowdays gaining popularity as Syrian Christian entertainment art.
